Card Patterns Sketch Challenge #18

This card was made for the Card Patterns SC#18. It took me FOREVER!! LOL!! I have to admit...I really tried on this one...tried to create a vintage, weathered look and tried to make it soft, coordinating with dsp and special. :) I also decided to flip the sketch. The papers are K&Company, the image is from SU! and the sentiment is from Elegant Cheer.(also SU!) I wanted to make everything coordinate, I even did the inside of the card!!! I usually just add a plain panel. The image is stamped in Ruby Red and Soft Pink...to make it soft and pretty. Thanks for stopping by!!! Happy Saturday Stamping!

Dreams (OCCC)

This card was made for the OCC Sketch Challenge. I decided to try to make a Masculine Birthday Card. The DSP I just found when I cleaned out my old scrap drawer!! I used a Kraft-like paper for the base, Chocolate and Celery as my other colours. There is a white panel behind the two small DSP panels. It was tricky getting the ribbon to work...I used a flat line Fiskar's Punch to make a slit big enough for the ribbon.
The image and the sentiment is stamped in Chocolate.

Charisma Cardz #22, Colour Throwdown #45 and 2Red Bananas

As I have mentioned in my last couple of posts, I am in desperate need of Thank You cards! This card was inspired by Charisma Cardz Challenge #22 to use Pink and Brown. Incidentally, I also used a light green for the leaves which make this card also eligible for the Colour Throwdown #45 this week. I have already made a card for the Throwdown but I think I will link this one up too...just to share. 2Red Bananas is also challenging us to use ribbon!!I used my Martha Stewart Lace Border punch for the side of the card and borrowed the oval punches from my friend Glenda. It is my hostess month for my Stampin' Up group and I ordered these punches and some other great stuff. I am so excited and cannot wait for it to all come in!!

The stamp is called Peony Panel by Stampendous. I just picked it up last night with my pal Jane. She wanted to see what I would make with it so I had a bit of a challenge from her too!!! Thanks Jane!

The ribbon is from Walmart (chocolate satin) and the image is coloured with my copics. The ivory background is cuttlebugged with the french script embossing folder...I love that folder!! Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day!! I am going to spend today cleaning my craft room and doing laundry!! Oh I may have to try the OCC Sketch Challenge too!!

Easy, Breezy Butterfly Wishes (Flourishes Challenge)

This is a thank you card I made with my new Stampendous Acrylic Butterfly stamps. Just bought them tonight and love the way they stamp. They are stamped on Vanilla Cardstock in Close to Cocoa ink. The ribbon is a satin ribbon from Walmart.I need to make some simple, yet elegant, thank you cards for the parents of my students. So when I saw Flourishes "Easy, Breezy Challenge" I decided to play along!! This card took about 15 minutes and I used glue to put it together rather than tape. The card face is popped up on dimensionals. Hmmm...I think I may try this in Tempting Turquoise and White next!!!

SASSC18 & Colour Throwdown #45

I made this card with my newly won stamps from Jennifer at Stamps and Smiles. I won "Carl the Cupcake" during Stamps and Smiles last blog hop. This is my very first card with "Carl" and I am so happy with how well he stamped!! I decided to use the colours from the Colour Throwdown...so much fun and really out of my comfort zone. I actually just ordered green paper!! I am trying to use new colours. I stamped Carl's Birthday hat on the side circles and coloured them in with the colours from the colour challenge which were Pink Passion, Green Galore and Chocolate. I added a little chocolate satin bow to the side of the card. Using Green Galore as the card face was hard for me to do. I usually use white but I had to challenge myself to move out of my comfort zone!!

Lesley :)

2 Sketches for You 2 Try (Ultimate Showdown)

This card was made for the 2 Sketches 4 You Challenge...there are such inspiring cards posted there by other hopefuls, it was not hard to catch the inspiration bug!
I am really into bright orange right now!! I paired it up with Always Artichoke by SU! and white cardstock. The white background is cuttlebugged with French Script and the sentiment is from SU! Elegant Cheer. The flower is from SU! Garden Greetings. I embossed three flowers with white EB powder on the orange cardstock and then cut each flower, layer by layer. I then popped up the flower, layer by layer and then added a white brad. I added some sheer ribbon across the card and then added a little sheer bow under the side of the flower. The leaves were made with a SU! Sizzlit die and on Sahara Sand SU! Paper.

Thanks for stopping by!!
