Mojo#82-Masculine Card?

Well it is Friday and I have finally had a moment to make a Mojo Card. I missed the past couple of weeks with crazy workload and family workload. My SU! order came in and I picked it up today!! SO thrilled with my new stamps. I bought the Flower in Silhouette which is at the back of the cattie. I LOVE it.

On this card I used my Scor-Pal to create the two lines on the left side of the card, where my brads are nestled. I punched out the scalloped Navy Square with my Marvy Mega Punch and cut the other sqaures to fit with my paper cutter. The image is stamped in Not Quite Navy and is stamped off a couple of times. The ribbon is a little piece I had kicking around. I tried a new ribbon treatment, inspired by Christine at Christine Creations and thought this ribbon style looked more masculine than a bow. I used bordering blue and not quite navy as my 2 colour choices. I really like this combo. I must continue to try it with other cards!!

I made this card for an elderly gentleman who is a family friend. He is a special guy and I wanted to send him a classy card. Hope I hit the mark.
Thanks for looking. Hope you day has been FULL of cardmaking. :)

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday, SCS CC214 & SC224

This card was made with Pink Cat stamps. Love this new baby stamp set of theirs called Sweet Pea!!

I used So Saffron (Basic Grey Porcelain Paper), Pretty in Pink and Bordering Blue for the Colour Challenge over at SCS. I also added the optional Chocolate Chip as Christine from Christine Creations suggested.

The Sketch Challenge was fun but I think I got the panels wrong...oops!! I think there is not supposed to be a gap. Artistic something?

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge is to use paper piercing. I LOVE Flourishes Stamps but alas own none. They are unavailable at local shops. I have been trying to get their beautiful stamps out my way!! Keep your fingers crossed!! I am working on one store in particular, trying to get them in!!

Please know that my camera battery was fading and so I snapped a quick photo!!! Sorry for the poor quality!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Multiplying Cards...

The Limited Supplies Challenge was to use black and white. So I did make some cards and then decided to recreate a card I made a while ago. I dusted off this stamp set and got to work!! I am really happy with the black, gray and white.

LSC213-Stormy Sky Silhouette

EDIT**
ALL black and white!!!

Today I had a wonderful day. My class and I had fun learning a new song for the Fine Arts Week happening in April. We are doing the song, "I Will Survive!" The children loved it and I must say, it was a lot of fun! The weather outside was glorious this morning and then by 2pm, it changed. It was blustery, cloudy, gray and miserable...but somehow it was still gorgeous. I wanted to capture the sky and the silouhette of the trees with this card. The "trees" are embossed with black embossing powder and a heat gun. The sky is brayered with Going Grey ink on glossy photo paper. Then I used a shiny black satin ribbon for the sentiment to go onto.

Hoppy Easter

Just got my new stamps from Pink Cat. I wanted to make some quick and easy Easter cards, so I used this week's MOJO sketch again. I really like it.
I used this Basic Grey DSP because it reminded me of an Easter Egg Design!
Mr. Bunny is popped up!!

Stamps: Easter Stamps by Pink Cat Studios
Paper: Porcelain (Basic Grey), Pink, Chocolate, White
Ribbon: Satin ribbon from Walmart, Pink Heart Brads (got them on sale after Valentine's Day)

SCS-Sketch Challenge 221, Flourishes Challenge (Emboss It!) FTTC8

This card was made for this week's SCS Sketch Challenge. I was stumped all week but then decided to dig out my Eastern Blooms Set. I rarely use this set and have barely used these three flowers. So I went for it!
This week, the Flourish blog had a challenge to "Emboss it"! I hardly EVER emboss!! This week I went for it!! The flowers are stamped in Real Red Craft ink and are embossed with clear EB powder. The word "Thanks" is embossed with White Craft ink and white EB powder. Got to try my new nesties for the sentiment at the bottom. Love these little tags. The square panel that is turn in a diamond shape, is embossed with Swiss Dots.
Thanks for looking!!

Enchanted "Earthy" Lily

I love the Pink Cat Stamps. I have the Kiki Kitty set on order. Hoping to get them tomorrow!!

I coloured Lily with SU! Markers and then carefully cut her out. Her headband was a challenge!! I used SU! DSP in Artichoke and Mustard. I think Mustard is my new favourite SU! colour!!! The paper directly behind Lily is from Basic Grey. It is called Porcelain. I cut that panel out with my new curved rectangular nesties.

No ribbon on this card. I tried to use it but it looked heavy. I popped up the sentiment which is by Amuse. I cut out the little toadstools too and added them next to her. Maybe I should have done a scalloped oval behind her? I used little gemstones and brads to highlight her.

Have a great Wednesday...I am off to sleep! But I could stamp all night!!
