The Card Concept #52 & Simon Says Stamp {Happy 2nd Year Anniversary & some Prizes to be Won}

I am so excited to announce that today marks the 52nd challenge over at The Card Concept  and that we are celebrating our 2nd Year Anniversary!!! To celebrate with my wonderful design team, I made a a card!

I am in love with this new Reverse Confetti Rose Stamp set! I stamped the roses in black in and then watercoloured them with my Zig Markers and a water pen. Then I gold embossed the sentiment. I couldn't help but to link up at the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.

I was inspired by the neutral colours, the french script and the elegant images. I tried to create a card in the Classy & Elegant style.

I hope you will stop by the Card Concept and play along! The challenge is open until noon on April 11th! There are some prizes up for grabs too!

Viva la Verve & Power Poppy

Today marks the final day of my Spring Break! Did I get loads accomplished? Nope! But I did rest and nurtured my soul! I feel SO good compared to the start of the break! That has to count for something!

Today I played along (finally) with the first Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge for March! I loved the layout and decided to use a new Power Poppy digital stamp I picked up! I am SUCH a floral lover.

I coloured the image with my Copic markers and matched it with a sentiment from SugarPea Designs. everything is matted with black paper to make my coral blooms pop!

Coffee Lover's Hop & CAS(E) this Sketch

Tonight I was inspired to make one more card for the Coffee Lovers Spring Hop! I pulled out the Jane's Doodles set called Coffee Time and watercoloured one of the little mugs in the set.

I used the great sketch again over at  CAS(E) this Sketch. I wanted to keep my design clean and very simple.

I am a coffee-loving-cardmaker!

CTD #385 & CTS #165 {Beautiful}

Thursday already? Where does the time go? My Spring Break is slowly fading away and so I wanted to spend some more time in my craft room. Hubby is out riding his bike. Although I should be prepping supper or scrubbing some pots, my craft room beckoned...and so I went in search of some inspiration!

I stumbled upon the current Color Throwdown Challenge #385. This is one of the first challenges I ever did as a blogging and it still is a favourite of mine. I loved the teal, aqua and gold combo! I used Mermaid's Lagoon & Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink to watercolor my roses. The sentiment is gold embossed.

Then I wanted to play with a sketch and I remembered the great sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch. I remembered it with the sentiment on the stripe going across...oh well! I hope they can see how I was inspired!

VLV, Tag You're It & SSS {You Make Me Happy}

Spring Break has been wonderful but it has zoomed along...as it always does! Tonight I managed to get crafty. My inspiration came from the project over at Tag You're ItI absolutely loved the neutral colours with the pops of red! I was thinking about using butterflies but then I remembered the Rain or Shine Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.  I have a great rain stamp set from Verve and I remembered their Viva la Verve CAS sketch for this week! So I switched out the circle for a tag and I was on my way!

I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the card to mimic the "wheat" on the inspiration tag and to also make the sketch requirements.

I hope you can see how I was inspired. I added the twine for some texture and also to match the twine in the Tag inspiration.
