Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #56-{Season's Greetings}

Welcome to my weekly Christmas card Challenge called "Merry Monday"! Each week, I post a challenge to inspire you to create a Christmas card for your Christmas card stash! I have a design team of lovely ladies and we are all working on getting a Christmas card done each week!

Today we welcome our April Featured Designer Amy Tsuruta! Amy is a lovely gal and she has such a unique and vibrant style!! I am thrilled she agreed to join us. I asked her to share a bit about herself and this is what she had to say.

Hello!  It's Amy Tsuruta and I'm super thrilled to be the April Guest Designer at Merry Monday!  I live in the beautiful state of Washington with my 2 kids that are 15 & 18 years old.  I'm engaged to thee most fabulous man that absolutely supports my craftiness.  Life is Good.  I work full time for a design firm in Seattle and do most of my crafting on the weekends.  I'm looking forward to working with the Merry Monday ladies, thanks so much for having me!

Thank you Amy!!! This month I have decided to go back to just sketches as I have received many emails from participants asking for them!!!  Here is my card for the challenge! I went for a classic, Christmas look of red and green.

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: My Favorite Things
Inks: Always Artichoke, Soft Suede
Papers: My Mind's Eye, Cherry Cobbler, Vanilla, Early Espresso and Always Artichoke
Extras: Spellbinders Poinsettia Dies, Pearls, Sponge

The sketch this week has been interpreted many different ways by the design team and I love each and every card they created!!!

  4. I love what you and all the other designers did with the sketch! You say you're going back to just sketches - hopefully just for April. I'm one who loves the variety of the challenges - that was what got me to join in this year (as opposed to last year when it was all sketches). So please don't give up on the theme and bingo challenges for good!

  5. Wonderful inspiration from the DT, everyone interpreted the sketch in such unique ways!

    Like Susan I enjoyed the variety of challenges, I thought it was a great way to really get peoples thinking caps on. There are so many blogs out there that offer just sketches, it was nice to have a Christmas themed one that changed it up every week.

    I'll still be playing along every week though, no matter what the challenge is!

  9. Love your traditional theme and colours Lesley. I must invest in a poinsettia flower for Christmas cards they always look lovely.
    I enjoy doing any challenge, and if it's out of your comfort zone then it can be most satisfying when you have finished your project and you have been inspired to try something different or new.
