I have been waiting to do the Throwdown challenge all week but have not been able to because I have been preparing for my Parent/Teacher Interviews at school, which went well today!! I had to use Tempting Turquoise because I do not have Baja but then realized I should have used Sage Shadow!!! Oh well...here it is!! I hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo Sketch #108- Have Your "Elf" A Merry Little Christmas

I went out today and picked up the newest Pink Cat Studio stamps called Itty Bitty Christmas. I LOVE Pink Cat and had to have these adorable images to add to my collection! I could finally get to the Mojo Challenge this week and so I decided it would be perfect for these little elves! I decided to slip the sketch. The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with my Copics. I added some red stickles to the end of the reindeer's nose! The main panel is cut out with deckled rectangle Nestabilities. The background of the card is embossed with the CB snowflake folder.
I just love this little sentiment by Stampendous!

SC250-Christmas Sparkle

I made this card for the Splitcoast Stamper's Sketch Challenge.

I LOVE the sketch!!! I used my copics to colour the A Muse Floral Snowflake Stamp. There are stickles in the middle of each snowflake. This is a pretty CAS card...I wish I had used Navy and Brocade blue instead!!! But I am all out of Navy paper...I have some on order. I just haven't had time to pick it up!

Farm Fresh Friday Sketch #9

When I was visiting Cindy Haffner's blog, I saw a post about the Farm Fresh Friday Sketch. I have never heard of that Challenge and so decided to check it out!!! Wow! I was inspired!! So I decided to play along and to make a card using this sketch.I pulled out a favourite Stampendous stamp and inked it up!! The colours I worked with are Pink, Brown and White. My little Changito was coloured with my Copics R81, RV34, W1 and E35. I tried to add some sweet blushing cheeks to my little sweet monkey!! I am really still learning how to use my Copics properly!!!
The main pink panel is edged with my SU! Scallop Edger and the main circle is a Marvy Punch. I used SU! oval punches for the sentiment which is by Hero Arts. I used my Swiss Dots CB folder on the main white panel, originally I was going to use DSP. But I am happy with how the white looks.

Thanks for stopping by!! Head on over to the Greeting Farm and check out their fun challenge!!! Good luck!

SFYTT-Merry

This card was made for the Sketch For You to Try Challenge over at i{heart}2stamp. I heat embossed the flower and then coloured it with my red copic and then cut it out. It is popped up with dimensionals. Then I punched out a 1" circle and dipped it in glue. Then added glitter for the centre of the flower.

Colour Throwdown #63-Is Less Really More?

Those gals at the Colour Throwdown have got me thinking this week with this awesome colour combo!! I have already made a card for their challenge but I love these earthy colours and thought they would be so perfect for a Thank You card to my mommy. She is cooking and hosting Turkey dinner tomorrow night. So I made two cards, one with the scallop edge punch and one with the other decorative edge punch by SU!! The card is made not of Kraft paper (I am all out) but I am close with Sahara Sand. The main panel image is a stamp made by The Stamp of the Month. I coloured it with my Copics YG93 and YR21. The sentiment is from SU! Short and Sweet set. It was inked in Memento Cocoa Brown. The card measures 4x6. I took a 12x12 piece of sahara cardstock and cut it every 4". That gave me 3 card faces. I then put the 4"x12" piece in my Scor Pal and scored it at 6". Then the yellow piece was cut at 3"x4". The white piece was cut at 2"x4". I had to leave a whole inch between the yellow and white piece to make sure the edge punches could do their job!! They cut away about 1/4 of an inch on each side. Then my white piece could be nicely nested by the yellow piece.
This card is a simple layout and card. Normally I am all about layers but I kinda like the simplicity of this card. I need to see what else I can do with this layout. My camera does not show off the pretty clean lines of this card...the white really pops!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone..

Inspired by Clean & Simple (FTL #63) and Pile it On

Although this card goes beyond the Clean and Simple sketch that is being offered this week, I must say I was inspired by the sketch to make these cards. I did flip the sketch, but again, thiese cards came from the sketch layout! Thanks for the inspiration!!! If you haven't already, check out the Clean & Simple Blog. It is awesome for layout ideas!! I am also submitting this card for the Pile it On Challenge to go 3D!! The DSP was from a Making Memories pack I picked up from the sale shelf at M's and the snowflake is the Sizzix Die currently offered by SU! The sentiment at the bottom of the card is Penny Black. I punch out a smaller snowflake with my Martha Stewart Punch and added a little half back pearl to the centre of it. The colours I used are Basic Grey and Cream.

Mojo Sketch #107-Just Believe

This card was made for the current Mojo Sketch Challenge. I used some old Basic Grey Wassail paper left over from last year. The main image is from SU! called Peaceful Wishes. I inked up the image with my SU! markers and outlined the image in W1 by Copic. I added some snowflakes and pearl accents to the card. This is not what I had envisioned for this card but I always struggle with the Mojo Sketches. Gotta keep practicing! LOL!

Thanks for stopping!

Stampin' 411 Sketch Challenge 119-Birthday Wishes

I made this card for my friend who is celebrating her birthday on Friday. We both love sweets and treats and so I dusted off this Stampendous stamp and coloured it with my copics. The cupcakes have sparkly stickles on them. The greeting is from SU! Garden Greetings. I used Stampin' 411 Sketch Challenge #119.Thanks for stopping by!

Colour Throwdown #63 and SCS Sketch Challenge #249

I have been trying to craft like mad...making up for lost time. My back is still sore but not like it was! All I really have left is a numb leg once in a while...like when I sit too long or while sleeping. This is a huge improvement from the summer.

So tonight I was determined to make a card for the Colour Throwdown Challenge. As soon as I saw the colours I was inspired, especially by the DT's gorgeous cards!!! The sketch was this week's SCS Sketch Challenge.
I used a kraft paper card base and embossed the Old Olive Panel with the Twig Cuttlebug folder. I then backed the olive section with brown paper. I actually cut out the little flower heads and popped them up with glue dots! The flowers are coloured with my copics and highlighted with W1 (warm grey). I used my oval nestabilities and decided to simply stamp the sentiment onto the oval. The little butterfly is popped up with a pop dot and has a little pearl on it. I hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!
Lesley :)
